This J.3 was constructed during 1944 and was used by the USAAF before being sold in Switzerland.
There it flew as HB-OFP, at one time it was even fitted with floats.
During some decades the plane was stored waiting for restoration. Early 2011 RAR picked the plane up in Switserland and moved it to Belgium to make it airworthy again.
This J.3 has quite a lot of modifications. For example it has metal wingtips and the fuselage has a removable turtledeck.
